Friends

One of the most importand things for a gay man is friends. Lovers come and go, relationships can flounder but friendship lasts eternal. A true friendship will overcome the odd disagreement or politcal difference and friendships without substance will fall be the roadside. If you have just a handfull of really true friends then you are blessed. I count maybe 4 really true friends on my list, but have many 'friends' or aquantences and of course these are important as a balance to your social life but those true friends are what will give you the lifestyle and social acceptance we all desire. Rich or poor, it makes no difference. Of the 4 true friends I have, 2 are fairly wealthy and 2 like myself, scratching for the almighty dollar. Our friendship is based on a need to balance each other, of help to talk things out and overcome those annoying problems you cannot see the problem for the wool over your eyes. You may not take their advise on some occassions but they will still support your decission. That's true friendship.
